How it is built.
The Guardian™ Warm Roof is constructed using lightweight aluminium rafter frames. On top of the rafters sits an Exterior Grade plywood, with a breathable membrane. Your choice of tiles or slates will finish the outer layer construction. Code 4 lead is used to weather the roof to your property.
Below the Rafters we add a total of 137mm of insulation. This is made up of 40mm high performance insulation that sits between the rafters, a second layer of 25mm high performance insulation and finally 72mm high performance insulated plasterboard.
We allow airflow and ventilation between the rafters in the inner and outer layers which prevents condensation.
